The Spanish U-23 national team cruise to the final of the Men’s Olympic football event after defeating Tournament host, Japan to set up final with 2016 Gold medalist, Brazil.
Marco Asensio’s 116th minute goal in the extra-time helped the La Roja advanced to the final and be will be hoping to win the title for the second time.
However, Dani Alves led the Brazilian team fought hard against Mexico to reach the final in a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes.
The Selecao ended up winning the penalty shootout 4-1 advancing to their second successive Olympics final in the process.
The final will take place on Saturday, August 7, at the International Stadium in Yokohama.
Both Brazil and Spain will be out to win gold medals for the second time in their respective histories, with La Roja having won the 1992 tournament, while the Selecao were triumphant in 2016.
